As some of you may have noticed, at the start of August I disappeared. It wasn’t planned and I tried to avoid it but unfortunately I couldn’t get things done in the short amount of time I had. So instead, I’m going to take a brief break to return with a new – and hopefully better – schedule.
I have my OWLS blog tour on August 28th and I may choose to join for the September one too. Aside from those posts there won’t be anything here until October.
Why such a long break do I hear you ask?
As some of you may know my old job was made redundant. Luckily I managed to go straight from my old job into a new one but there wasn’t any time for me to schedule posts. I used to do almost all of my anime watching and writing during my lunch hour and now I don’t have that time to spare. Not every day like I used to.
This means I need to find a new time slot to write and watch and it’s very possible that will now only be at a weekend. As such doing seasonal weekly posts will be a lot harder and I think I’ll be dropping them completely. I had a lot of fun in the past two weeks writing posts about Female Characters and how You Are Enough but they weren’t quick reaction pieces. I also want to write more reviews like my March Comes in like a Lion review. My review on Tsuki ga Kirei has been in the works for a long time.
I think scheduling my posts in advance in the way I need to go. So often I’ve just finished writing a post before it’s released but it’s time to get more organised. My new job involves an element of international travel and I can’t always be sure I’ll be around to post now. As far as content goes, I love writing reviews but I also want posts that look at the series I’m enjoying in a different light. Posts that hone in on one element of the anime, for example. I’ve some ideas but I hope reading more will help give me more ideas too.
